Ohioans saw through the deceptive Issue 1 proposition

If we ever wonder why folks are exhausted by the state of politics today, just look at what Ohioans of every political stripe fought back against in the August special election.

Ohio voters resoundingly rejected a ballot proposition that would’ve undermined the democratic process, relying on sneakiness and trickery to change the state’s constitution.

“‘Ohioans claimed a victory over out-of-touch, corrupt politicians who bet against majority rule, who bet against democracy,’ Ohio Democratic Party Chair Liz Walters told reporters at an election night gathering in Columbus. ‘Tonight, Ohioans everywhere have claimed a victory for the kind of state we want to see.’”
